Q + A

What should I do if i can't make it?

You will be greatly missed but we understand destination weddings can be hard for many reasons! Please let us know by the RSPV by date stated on the invitation so we can plan accordingly. Thank you!

How do I RSVP?

RSVP will open up on this website once invitations are sent out. Please make sure to refer back here to RSVP by the date stated on your invitation.

Do you need a passport?

Yes! Please please please make sure you have a passport and it is up to date! As a best practice, your expiration date shouldn't fall within 6 months of travel - some airlines can prevent you from boarding.

Hotel and Villa Questions?

We have a room block at Hotel Ysuri and this is where we will be staying. Please visit the Travel & Accommodations section of the site for further details.

Do I need to attend all events?

We'd love to see all of our guests at the scheduled events but understand people will be flying in at different day/times or would like to do other things! Please just let us know when you RSVP which events you will be at.

Is Sayulita Safe?

Sayulita is consistently one of the safest tourist destinations in Mexico, please feel free to research online for yourself or reach out to us for any specific questions / concerns!

Do you need transportation to the venue?

Nope! Hotel Ysuri is a 5 minute walk to our wedding venue. If you choose to rent golf carts during your stay and want to ride instead of walk, there is parking available.

Do I need a rental car?

No, you do not. We recommend hiring a transportation service from the airport to Sayulita. Once in Sayulita, the main mode of transportation is golf carts as the town is small and easily accessible with them. I would only recommend a rental car if you are planning to explore areas outside of Sayulita.

Do I need a golf cart for town?

No you do not, but they are a fun way of getting around town! The roads are cobblestone and there are plenty of hills so golf carts make it easier to get around. Golf cart rentals can be done through Hotel Ysuri (where we have our room block).

Do I need cash for the trip?

It is about 50/50 for restaurants, bars, shops, etc. on only accepting cash or they will have a credit card minimum spend. It is best to bring about half of what you plan to spend in cash just in case! There are ATMs throughout town but will often have a high exchange rate so it's best to either bring USD or exchange for Mexican pesos at the airport.

What will weather be like in Sayulita in February?

February is one of the best times of year to be in Sayulita with clear skies and mid to high 70s during the day and low 60s at night.

Where can I find more info about Sayulita?

You can find almost anything about Sayulita (i.e. where to say, what to do, restaurants, bars, surrounding areas, and more) on www.sayulitalife.com. There are also plenty of travel blogs you can find on google

Is it safe to drink the water in Sayulita?

No, just like the rest of Mexico, the tap water is not drinkable so please avoid. Stock up on water bottles when arriving and you should be fine :) Restaurants and bars will use filtered water and ice so no need to worry about that!

Do you have any more questions?

Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions! We'd be glad to help :)
